About Newburgh Youthbuild
At NYB, we offer two distinct tracks, construction and CMA, tailored to empower youth aged 16-24 in the greater Newburgh area. In the Nursing program, participants work towards earning their Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), while those in the Construction track engage in projects aimed at developing affordable housing for the community, obtaining OSHA 10 and NCCER Construction certifications along the way. Additionally, all program participants volunteer time to build disability access ramps for neighbors' homes in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, fostering community engagement and teamwork.
Our approach combines education with hands-on training, as participants work towards their High School Equivalency (HSE) while gaining valuable certifications and skills. Through our fundraising opportunities initiative, we provide youth with essential support including tools, work clothes, meals, transportation, and more, ensuring they have what they need to succeed academically and professionally.
We are deeply thankful for the commitment of our community partners who contribute resources and time to support our youth. If you're interested in joining us in this mission, please reach out to us today!
