Academics

Participants in the NYB program will have the option to enroll in either the Nursing or Construction tracks. Those opting for the Nursing track will pursue certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), while those in the Construction track will engage in projects aimed at constructing affordable housing for the community. Participants in the Construction track will additionally acquire certifications in OSHA 10 and NCCER Construction as part of their program. Additionally, all program participants will dedicate volunteer hours to collaborate with Habitat for Humanity in constructing disability access ramps for their neighbors' homes. This volunteering initiative not only fosters community engagement but also imparts the importance of collaborative efforts towards shared objectives, facilitating meaningful interactions and connections with diverse individuals.
